Esker Gaels 2-10 Delvin/St. Pauls 1-11
Well done to Esker Gaels who won the opening round of the Division 3 Championship tonight in Drumraney. A wind assisted first half saw the home side lead by 1-7 to 0-5 at half, with Eoghan Fallon netting an early goal. Delvin/St. Pauls nipped away at the lead in the second half and managed to draw the game level with five minutes remaining. However, a late Adam Smyth goal put the home team back in front and they held on to win by two points.
Well done to all players on a spirited display. The next championship outing will be in two weeks time.
