Westmeath County Board are looking for referees ahead of the new season. Maryland/Tang has been tasked with recruiting at least 2 new referees (male or female) who must be aged 18 upwards (out of the U18 playing grade) who haven’t refereed competitive games previously.
The county board are running a referee’s course for all new candidates in the coming weeks and individuals will be provided with referees gear including jersey, whistle, note book & cards.
Initially, they will be asked to referee U12 games in their home club on Friday evenings and will receive €30 per game. Individuals who complete the referees course will have the option to referee adult games also if they wish too and will receive €40 per game.
