U15 Shield Final
Our U15 team finished off their year on Sunday 24th September with a victory in the Division 4 Shield final against Kilbeggan Shamrocks in Mount Temple. Played in what could only be described as atrocious weather conditions our lads turned in a great performance getting some great scores and playing great combination football. Our defenders when called upon defended resolutely limiting Kilbeggan to one point from play and making some great covering tackles and getting our attacks in motion. The midfield and forward line played really well showing great teamwork and interplay and notched some wonderful scores given the conditions. In the end we ran out winners on a 6-14 to 0-3 score line.

With the year drawing to a close we want to say thanks yet again to the parents for their great support for the year at the games and also in getting the lads to training. Many thanks to the management team of Danny Connaughton, Colm Geraghty, William Reynolds and Mike Connaughton who worked tirelessly hard with the lads all year!
Fixtures
Our u13’s will play Multyfarnham in the quarter final of the Championship on Saturday at 11am in Multyfarnham
Our u17’s will play the Shield Final of the Championship on Saturday in Castledaly at 11am.

U9 Go Games
Maryland Tang U9s finished up the season on Friday evening in Maryland with a blitz with our neighbours Rosemount and Castledaly. We fielded 2 strong teams and played two very competitive games in what was a fitting end to a wonderful season. Well done to all players and keep practicing during the break. Many thanks to our mentors for the year Ned Reynolds, Michael Bannon, David Murphy, and Dennis Sloyan and thanks to all the parents for their help also.
U17 7-a-side tournament
Maryland/Tang GAA are delighted to announce that we will be holding an u17 7-a-side tournament on Sunday 22nd October. The tournament will consist of 12 GAA clubs who will battle it out in Maryland and Tang GAA grounds. Fixtures and details will be announced closer to the date. The excitement is building already to what will be a brilliant event!
