Condolences
Maryland/Tang would like to extend its sympathies to the Conlon family on the passing of Liam Conlon. Liam was highly involved in the early days of Maryland/Tang, with his sons Joe and Colm members of successful teams at U12, U14, U16 and minor levels. Always willing to support the club, Liam served as Maryland/Tang Chairman in 2000 and 2001 and also acted as Vice Chairman and a County Board delegate for a number of years. His contribution was hugely important to the club establishing and flourishing after it’s founding in 1993.
We wish to extend our condolences to his family and friends. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.

U13 vs St Lomans
We played St Lomans on Friday last in the u13 championship. We were beaten on the night but given the horrendous conditions that the game was played in, both teams served up some lovely skillfull football. We only had 16 lads available for the game but our lads battled hard to the end. The opposition had greater reserves to call on from the bench and we struggled to get a foothold in the game as we couldn’t introduce fresh legs when needed. We had a number of scoring chances that weren’t taken when needed. However we scored 1-7 with some of the points taken were as good as we had scored all year. This was another good display by the lads who are showing signs of improvement in every game.

Social Night
Maryland/Tang are holding a social night on 16th September in Maghera. We will have a presentation of our O’Neils full zip fleeces. All mentors, members and parents are invited to attend to what will be a very enjoyable night.
